I know I’m reaching outside of the norm here, but I cannot stand “Desperate Housewives”Desperate Housewives. I don’t know why, not sure if it’s the context, or the actress’. Not sure really I just know that the show and everything about it just gets under my skin. I could easily rant quite a bit about ways that it gets to me, but thats not the point today.

Earlier this afternoon as I was cleaning house I heard my daughter “jammin” out to the song “Juicy” by Better Than EzraBefore the Robots. I love “Juicy” by Better Than EzraBefore the Robots and not only am I happy that they came out of the woodwork again the song is terribly “tuneful”. Now every time I catch myself singin’ to the music I have to cringe at the thought of what most people associate the song with.

I was in a store and the song came on and I was humming under my breath and the lady next to me said “Oh, I love this show! Have you seen this weeks episode? I can’t wait for season twoDesperate Housewives - The Complete Second Season…” What could I say? I didn’t want to outwardly tell this lady I dislike the show making her feel like I just told her what horrible taste in television she has. So I just told her I don’t watch much TV I just really like the song, but the whole conversation gave me a twinge of disgust for the stupid show ruining a perfectly catchy song for me.

Why do good songs have to be attached to bad soundtracks? AND why do people assume that just because you like the song your a nut for the movie/show?
